Since 2016, we at multiCAM have been proud to collaborate with the LabForSIMS health simulation centre at the Université Paris-Saclay, where we have implemented 5 IN SITU systems. This partnership has led to the development of an advanced infrastructure that includes 3 rooms dedicated to simulation, 3 to debriefing and 2 mobile units with a total of 14 cameras, 10 of which are our mCAM models. These tools facilitate almost instantaneous debriefings, significantly improving the learning process for medical professionals.
Impact of Our Systems on Medical Training
Over the past year, around 20 training sessions a month have been held at LabforSIMS, training over 4 500 professionals. This achievement underscores the effectiveness of our systems in providing high-quality medical education.
Comprehensive Camera Solutions for Diverse Needs
We have equipped LabForSIMS with a variety of multiCAM systems to cater to different needs:
SDI Units
- Fixed SDI Unit at LabForSIMS
- Mobile SDI Unit : Used for recording practical dissection sessions at the School of Surgery and for IN SITU simulations at Bicêtre and Antoine Béclère university hospitals.
IP Units
- Fixed IP Units:
- One installed at LabForSIMS (Kremlin-Bicêtre)
- One at LabForSIMS ABC (Béclère)
- Mobile IP Unit: Enables IN SITU simulations at Bicêtre and Antoine Béclère university hospitals.
Extensive Camera Network
Our collaboration has also resulted in the installation and utilization of various mCAM cameras:
- mCAM II Cameras:
- Three installed at LabForSIMS ABC
- Two mobile units for IN SITU use
- One installed at LabForSIMS
- mCAM III Cameras:
- Three installed at LabForSIMS
- Fixed mCAM Camera: A mobile unit used for IN SITU simulations
- Lumens Cameras: Provided by us, these are used for capturing practical dissection sessions at the School of Surgery and for IN SITU simulations at Bicêtre and Antoine Béclère hospitals.
Future Projects and Expansion
We are excited about the future and ongoing projects, which include the acquisition of additional multiCAM IP units and mCAM III cameras. This expansion will further enhance their capabilities and extend the benefits of advanced simulation systems to more medical professionals.
LabForSIMS is also interested in the multiCAM Space and the Backdrop solutions. Desire to initiate a partnership with these new immersive technological solutions.
At multiCAM, we want to advance medical training through innovative solutions and strong partnerships. Our collaboration with LabForSIMS is a testament to the positive impact of our technologies in the field of medical education. We look forward to continuing this journey and contributing to the improvement of healthcare training worldwide.
